Monart Glass Millfiori Canes

Most of these canes are likely to be the work of Salvador Ysart although Paul may have assisted in stretching the rods. The following will often include a stopper decorated with Millefiori: HE, IE, RE, PF, ZG. Early vases were often decorated with slices or rods of cane. Vasart later revived this idea and most of the coloured blobs in Vasart are cane pieces. Some of the canes made for Monart use will also be found later in Vasart pieces.
